Dr. Shiloh Catanese

PsyD, MS

Dr. Shiloh Catanese is a California-licensed forensic psychologist with doctoral and master’s degrees in forensic psychology from Alliant International University. She began her career as a police officer in Southern California, serving in patrol, background investigations, and as a Terrorism Liaison Officer. While in law enforcement, she trained agencies nationwide on topics like PTSD and sex offender psychology.

After transitioning from policing, Dr. Catanese specialized in high-risk sex offender treatment and risk assessment across County, State, and Federal systems. Since 2017, she has served as a law enforcement psychologist with the LAPD, providing therapy, consultation, and wellness training, with a focus on crisis negotiations and officer wellness.

She consults with LAPD’s Metropolitan Division and Crisis Negotiation Team, responds to critical incidents, and serves on the board of the California Association of Hostage Negotiators. Dr. Catanese is a published author and national speaker with expertise in threat assessment, psychopathy, violent crime, and supporting individuals involved in the justice system.
